Transportation planners hit the ground running in Cleveland today.
The Highway 60 corridor is one of only two pilot projects in the state.
The goal is to look at transportation on that portion of Highway 60.
Today's agreement allows for more collaboration between all of the parties involved in the corridor.
That means the city, county and state can plan together for the future of the Highway 60 corridor.
Ultimately this planning on the front-end should speed the project up.
Tanisha Hall is the Director of Long-Range Planning at TDOT.  She explained, "What this agreement does, it allows for more coordination and collaboration between the parties interested in that corridor.  And then we can get together on the front end and try to eliminate a lot of the issues like right-of-way acquisitions if it's necessary."
Another goal of today's meeting was to get the planning agreement signed by all interested parties.
There is no projected start date yet for the Highway 60 corridor project.
