Police Search for Escaped Moccasin Bend Mental Health Facility Patient

According to Chattanooga Poilce P.I.O. Nathan Hartwig:

The escapee from Moccasin Bend Mental Health Facility has been identified as 36 year-old Waylon Ray Farless out of DeKalb County, TN. Officers from numerous agencies are currently searching the Tennessee River and shoreline for him. Farless has criminal charges out of DeKalb County and was recently taken to Moccasin Bend Mental Health Facility for mental health concerns. He is a white male, 5’09” tall, 156 lbs, red hair, and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and shorts. If anyone sees a person matching this description, they are asked to call the Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-2525.




         Chattanooga Police are searching for a man who escaped from the Moccasin Bend Mental Health Facility.
     It happened just a little after 7:00pm Tuesday evening.
     Officers were told a patient escaped and reportedly jumped into the river.
     Patrol Officers are searching the area.
     The Chattanooga Fire Department has deployed a boat to check the waters.
     The escapee is a 36-year-old man last seen wearing a black shirt and shorts.
