The march on the Walnut Street Bridge was aimed to open the eyes of those in America to the problem that's going on in Venezuela

Gladys Pineda-Loher wanted to make a simple gesture that could move people.

"What we did is create a non-violence march, peaceful march for positive social change for the country of Venezuela,” said Pineda-Loher

They wanted people to understand about the nighttime battles Venezuelans are having with police, the high inflation, and the shortage of good.

Zary Colon has family there that may not fair to well.

My entire family is in Venezuela and they are in danger,” said Colin “I have a sister who has a four month old, and it's hard for her to fine diapers."

The protests in Venezuela are met with what many are calling excessive and unlawful force.

So many here in Chattanooga wanted their voice to carry along with those in Venezuela.

We are expressing moral support and I think it's so important,” said Colin “They can feel they are not alone."
