Red Bank High School students gather around in the hallway as they watch two girls fight in the hallway in a cell phone video.
But Rebecca Ashley is the mother of the girl spending most of the time on the ground, and she is not calling it a fight.
"I consider it bullying," said Ashley. "She had a mild concussion, the left ear has stitches, she had the scratches on her stomach."
She says the other girl sent her daughter a Facebook message the day before saying she would get her at school the next day.
When Ashley watches the video, she says it makes her sick seeing her daughter so defenseless.
"You get in trouble for not sending your kids to school but they're letting the violence happen at school."
Ashley received a letter saying her daughter was suspended from Red Bank for 20 days because the school has a no tollerance for fighting.
"I don't see my daughter being able to do nothing or that she did anything to deserve the punishment she's getting," said Ashley.
She thinks other kids should be punished as well for nagging it on, and she says the video that's been circling Facebook and cell phones is just as damaging to her daughter.
Ashley said, "It bothers her it really does, it bothers her."
Since she's suspended, her daughter won't be going back to school until March, and Ashley fears something worse could happen then.
"I don't feel safe with my daughter going back to Red Bank High School. I do not want her enrolled in that school period," said Ashley.
