WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today released the following statement on the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ August jobs report:
“It is disappointing news that nearly 400,000 Americans dropped out of the workforce last month, bringing the participation rate to its lowest level since 1981. We need to lower tax rates and reduce the debt to get the economy moving again.”
