A stolen car leads to shots fired at the Brainerd Walmart parking lot this afternoon.
Officials say the victim left his keys on a counter inside the store.
A man found them, located the vehicle in the parking lot, and took off.
Meanwhile, the victim saw it happen and fired multiple shots.
That victim held a permit to carry a gun.
Officials are still investigating if the shooting was justified.

"You have a right to use deadly force if you feel that there's a threat or imminent threat of serious bodily injury to yourself or another person or death to yourself or another person," says Officer Nathan Hartwig.

The suspect did manage to get away in the vehicle.
     It's a silver 20-10 Ford F-150.
He's described as a white male with dark hair and wearing a black t-shirt with the letter T on it.
Also a possible second female suspect was seen wearing a red shirt with the sesame street character Elmo on it.

Some folks don't need a carry permit. Shooting at someone for theft is not justified. Idiots like this are the ones who give the anti-gun crowd more standing. I'm all for concealed carry, but the folks who do carry need to use some common sence.
