Motorcycle riders, girl scouts, and toys could be found at the Stocking Full of Love event Sunday.
More than 3-hundred people picked up those kick stands and took a little ride. They did it to help underprivileged children have a Christmas this year. Each person who attended the event brought either a toy and or money. The Walker County Sheriff hopes to collect 40 to 50 thousand dollars. That he says will cover presents for about 2-thousand kids. Sheriff Steve Wilson, Walker County said, "Without the stocking full of love, there could be and possibly would be many children that would wake up on Christmas morning without Christmas toys if it was not for the stocking full of love."
This is the 23rd year for this program. If you live in Walker County and need toys for your children this Christmas, you can pick up an application at the Walker County Sheriff's Office.
