TNGOP Statement on Obama Visit

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Tennessee Republican Party Chairman Chris Devaney released the following statement regarding the just announced trip by President Obama to Chattanooga planned for next week:

"President Obama has presided over the worst economic recovery since the Great Depression, so a visit to a right-to-work state like Tennessee to learn a thing or two in how to get things done should be expected. Thanks to Republicans, we've cut taxes, balanced our budget, and have the lowest debt of any state in the Union. It's a recipe for success that stands in stark contrast to Obama's abysmal record."

Dear Mr. Obama, The good people of the great state of Tennessee have seen through your lies from the very beginning. We did not vote for you and we do not approve of the way you have misused your authority. The moderate success that Tennessee has seen during your occupation of the White House has come despite your flawed economic policies. If you choose to come here, you would be well served to do it with your eyes, ears and mind open and your mouth closed. None of us want to hear what you have to say anyway.
