EAST RIDGE, Tennessee(WDEF) - Police are investigating a shooting that sent two men to the hospital Sunday morning.

According to East Ridge Police, officers  responded to a report of "Shots Fired" near the intersection of Ringgold Road and Moore Road around 2:45 A.M.

Police also told WDEF that a manager from a Walgreens store on the 5300 block of Ringgold Road had overheard gunshots and saw a maroon Chevy Suburban traveling eastbound on Ringgold Road at a high rate of speed.

Officers eventually found the Chevrolet Suburban in the parking lot of Waffle House Restaurant several block up the road where they found two gunshot victims inside.

The driver of the Suburban was identified as Keone Scaife, 30.  The front-seat passenger was identified as Cardarius Ringer, 20. Police said the two gunshot victims had what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

According to investigators, the victim's vehicle had been shot multiple times on both sides.

Both Scaife and Ringer reportedly told police they were traveling eastbound along Ringgold Road at the intersection near Moore Road prior to the gunfire. They also said a late model, light grey or silver-colored Chevy Impala or Malibu pulled alongside of them and started shooting. The victims told police they were unsure how many people were inside the suspect vehicle and additionally could not provide any identification or description of them other than that there were at least two black males.
During their investigation, officers found pane glass windows of a nearby Regions Bank were damaged by multiple stray bullets.

The incident is still under investigation and WDEF expects to have more information once it's released by investigators.
