We have an update for you now on the dog that was shot in the head by a Bradley County Sheriff's Deputy.
We first told you about Kayce Thursday.
A deputy shot her in the head after she escaped from her yard.
Officials say Kayce tried to bite the officer.
The dogs owner, Ashley Ward, sent these 911 tapes to us.
We did not receive this tape from the county, we got it from Ward.
If you listen closely. You can hear the mis-communication.
Caller: "That thing, it didn't bite me. I told it no, I just froze."
Dispatch: "He advised the dog is in the neighbors yard. The one that bit him."
Again, News 12 did not receive this tape from Bradley County.
We will follow up with this story and bring you the latest as it becomes available.
