If you like your Christmas with a side of coffee and hash browns, the employees of Waffle House wont let you down.
It's one of the only restaurants open in town on Christmas and was full of customers and Christmas spirit.
"Some people don't have family and they celebrate Christmas by themselves so we're open to become their family today," said employee Stephanie Brindisi.
Movie theatres were also booming with business all day.  In fact, managers say it's one of their busiest days of the year.
Some families make it part of their tradition since there's not much else to do outside of the home on Christmas.
Movie goer Ellen Eady said, "We love to have our dinner, our Christmas dinner and we go home and we sleep and then we wanna still be together so we all get back up and we go to the movies."
For emergency last minute shopping, Walgreens is one of the only retailers open to save the day.
"It's very nice," said shopper Jessica Stacy.  "We needed to make a quick run somewhere and Walgreens was the only place open so we're very glad."
Dedicated employees, whether behind a register or frying your  food, keep the world spinning.
