While most people were cutting into their Thanksgiving Turkeys, others were getting a jump start on the Wal Mart sales that began at eight pm.
Over at Best Buy, bargain hunters are still lined up awaiting the midnight opening.
"We got out here last night at about eight or nine o clock and started setting up camp," said Hunter Morgan.
"Tee Labrier says, "I hope to get a 50 inch TV set for 400 dollars."
Some set ups were more elaborate than others.
"We brought a generator, an x-box, TV, four controllers," said Morgan.
Everyone with their own game plan.
Malik Alim says, "Get a ticket, call mom, and then dash to the register."
"Me and my dad are gonna split up. He's getting the TV, I'm gonna get the iPad, and we're gonna dip out before it gets too hectic," said Hardy.
Many have criticized that the Friday deals are creeping into an American holiday.
"To each their own. If you're in the working a class, a working class person and the economy's hit hard, It's a savings of 400 dollars. I'm more than happy to sit here,"said Labrier.
These folks say they have made plenty of room for tradition.
"We took shifts actually going to Thanksgiving. One of us would stay here and then one of us would go to dinner," said Morgan.
"I spend my time with my family, I'm still with my family out here. I'm thankful that I get to come out here and actually get to take advantage of these deals." said Alim.
