Chattanooga's best and brightest business minds tackle the problems associated with a global economy.
The Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce held a seminar Wednesday at the Business Incubator.
It's part of a year-long "Developing a Global Mindset" series.
The goal is to develop a shared cultural awareness and business practices.
For example, officials say making a baseball reference like, "hitting it out of the park" may not be understood by other cultures.
Chamber of Commerce Business Diversity Coordinator Gladys Pineda-Loher explained, "One of the goals of this exercise is [for] the people learn the communications can come in different ways from the different cultures. So we are trying to interact and engage the participants with different exercises where they can give the possibility to learn how communications sometimes not just verbal."
The Chamber represents companies from 44 countries speaking 25 different languages.
