Constituents Enjoy Burgers with Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke at Amarndo's Restaurant

(WDEF) Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke broke bread with his constituents Tuesday afternoon.
     It was the first "Burgers with Berke" luncheon, and it was packed.
     The Mayor says he will block off his lunch break once a month to lunch with citizens in each district.
     The inaugural Burgers with Berke visited Armando's Restaurant on Lee Highway.
     Mayor Berke explained, "While I was in the legislature, I learned how important it is to keep in touch with people.  Not only be letters and emails but to let them know that you're available.  Today I wanted to give people an informal setting to come out and tell me their concerns, what makes them happy and what they want to see in the future."
     Berke's goal is to hold these events in every district in the city.
     His staff will work with the city council members to find the best places to host.
