(WDEF)  The 9-1-1 Communications Center has been informed by emergency service personnel that residents living in parts of Red Bank, Mountain Creek Road and Signal Mountain area may not be able to make a 9-1-1 call from their cell phone. It is believed a Verizon cell tower is not functioning properly and is currently being addressed by Verizon personnel.

The 9-1-1 Communications Center wants to emphasis to those Verizon Wireless customers, who live in these specific areas, may have to use a “land line phone” to make your 9-1-1 call.

No time frame has been given for this issue to be resolved.
