BLEDSOE COUNTY, Tennessee(WDEF) - One man is dead and his accused killer is in jail.
Casey Lee Anderson, 32, of Hixson is facing homicide charge in Bledsoe County.
Investigators said he used more than one gun to shoot another man multiple times outside camper on Humble Cemetery Road. It happened Tuesday morning but the victim's body was not discovered until later in the evening.
WDEF spoke with Clay Brown who lives across the street from there the shooting occurred.
"At 3 O'clock, I heard gun shots. I was in bed sleep. I opened my curtains and there was a light over there in that house and it went out," Brown said.
Brown also said later that day, Anderson showed up at his doorstep and asked to use the phone. The person he was trying to call did not answer according to Brown. Then he said Anderson asked him if he used drugs and Brown reportedly said no.
Later that evening, Rocky Gribble drove up to his property and found the gun shot victim on the ground next to a camper.
Gribble told WDEF that he hired the two men to help him build his home which is still under construction.
But according to Brown, the two men were arguing all day on Monday and appeared to not get along with each other.
What ever the argument was about, believe it escalated into violence.
"It's very disturbing because you have a quiet community and then over night you have to go work a murder in a community of that nature so it's very disturbing," said Bledsoe County Sheriff Jimmy Morris.
Tennessee Bureau of Investigations is now in charge of the investigation.
So far, the victim has not been identified.
