(WDEF)  A small fire in the cabinetry shop at Bradley Central High School caused the evacuation of 1,300-1,400 students Thursday afternoon.
It happened near the end of the school day.
The school system's safety and security coordinator tells News12 a fire broke out inside the ventilation-fan duct work.
It appears to have come from the exhaust fan's motor.
No students were in the cabinetry shop at the time.
The teacher heard a strange sound coming from the exhaust fan area and tried to put the fire out with another staff member.
They then evacuated the students and called the authorities.
The cabinetry shop teacher suffered a very minor injury.
He was treated at the scene.
Firefighters were able to quickly put the fire out.
The Cleveland Fire Department is investigating the cause.
