It's been a dangerous commute for local drivers this morning.
At least three people are dead in two separate crashes.
Traffic is just getting back to normal on I-75 in Bradley County.
Tennessee Highway Patrol worked a double fatal wreck that happened at exit 33 just before 4 a.m.
A THP spokeswoman tells us the tractor trailer rear ended a T-DOT work truck... causing it to slam into the THP patrol car.
The driver of the big rig and the TDOT worker were both killed.
The state trooper was transported to Athens Regional Medical Center.

Then in Murray County near the intersection of Hwy. 76 and Hwy. 52 Alternate...or Fort Street...another fatal wreck.
Georgia State Patrol told us it involved an SUV and a dump truck.
We're told Lifeflight was originally dispatched and then canceled when a fatality was confirmed.
The wreck impacted westbound traffic until around 10:15.
