Press Release from Catoosa County Sheriff's Office:
According to Sheriff Gary Sisk, on May 22, 2014, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation
Medical Examiner's Office notified the Catoosa County Sheriff's Office that the autopsy
of 2-year-old Saharah Weatherspoon was complete. The Medical Examiner found the
cause of death to be Craniocerebral Trauma with the manner of death being Homicide.
The Sheriff's Office met with District Attorney Herbert Franklin and presented the
findings of the investigation as well as the results of the autopsy. As a result, a warrant was
obtained for Clara Louise Edwards for murder.
Fugitive investigators from the Catoosa County Sheriff's Office along with members of the
Chattanooga Police Department located and arrested Clara Edwards in Tennessee. Mrs.
Edwards was transported to the Hamilton County Jail where she will await extradition
back to Catoosa County, GA.
