Shaw industries is making a 100 million dollar switch from rugs to vinyl.
Shaw officials say they'll convert their current Ringgold rug facility into a 100 million dollar state of the art luxury vinyl tile facility.
Making the switch means about 200 new jobs in the Ringgold area.
Shaw HR Director Al Scruggs said they're moving with consumer demands for more diverse types of flooring.
"There's not much growth opportunity in rugs, the ability to invest and develop more in rugs and so we have this tremendous opportunity to reporpose this plant and make it a luxury vinyl tile manufacturing facility and we thought we would take advantage of that opportunity," said Scruggs.
Scruggs said most of the hiring will take place in 2015.
