Joan Koplan loves the spotlight
It was one of her dreams to be famous and she may have found the best way to make that happen.
From hosting a TV show at UCTV in Fort Oglethorpe.. Joan is now the star of Small Town Security on AMC.
"She wants to be a comedian, and she's funny. Funny in her own way," says Judy O'Neal, Owner of UCTV.
Trust me the antics of JJK Security are real.
"We don't get nude until 6:30, no no no, I'm sorry we get naked at 6:30," Joan Koplan says jokingly.
The laughs are real.. and so's the drama.
"He like loves her like a mother, I love her like a mother. I love him like a second father. Me and him have crazy fun times together. I get him to carry a pink purse if I wanted to," explains Christa Stephens, JJK Security Secretary.
Out of nowhere came the shocking twist at the end of the show.
Lt. Croft is transgender.
What may have been a hard announcement on National Television, LT. Croft says he did so to help others.
"I put my self there for people, like me. TO be able to stand up for themselves and say it's okay. Do it. It's for you. Everyone else just has to deal with it," says Lt. Croft.
The serious ending may leave some questioning what direction the show will head.
"From here on out, now that the big secret is let out, it's going to be 10 times funnier from here on out," explains Stephens.
