A disgruntled former employee stands accused of going on a robbery and shooting spree at two Fred's stores.
45-year-old Kelly Jack Mayo is from Fort Payne.
He's is now behind bars in Cedartown, Georgia.
Today, Dekalb County Alabama Sheriff Jimmy Harris announced Mayo's charged with a double shooting at the Fred's in Rainsville a couple of months ago.

Matthew Whitt is relieved the man accused of leaving a bullet lodged in his spine didn't get away with it.
45 year old Kelly Jack Mayo is behind bars in Polk County, Georgia on a $250,000 bond.
Sheriff Jimmy Harris, DeKalb Co. Alabama, "He attempted to rob a Fred's store over there. He is a former employee of the Fred's Corporation, so he had attempted to rob this store and someway somebody made a 911 call."
Sheriff Jimmy Harris announced Friday that that robbery on October 4th was so similar to the one two months ago at a Fred's in Rainsville that Mayo became a prime suspect.
Then evidence surfaced linking him to the double shooting.
Sheriff Harris says the gun used in the Georgia robbery matched shells found at the scene in Rainesville.
Harris, "This is really unusual. We've never had somebody that just shot somebody...two people through a window and then just left. We think maybe when he shot and seen both of them fall that maybe he probably panicked and left."
Both men survived the shots to the spine but one is left paralyzed and the other hurting.
Whitt, "Learning to adjust to pain every single day is kind of rough, just non stop pain and learning to try to walk again."
In addition to 10 felonies in Georgia, Mayo faces 2 counts of attempted murder, 2 counts of shooting into a store and one count of robbery in Alabama.
Sheriff Harris says Mayo took a female employee hostage in Georgia when he fled the Fred's store.
He got caught when the vehicle crashed.
That car matched the description of a car in the Rainsville robbery and double shooting.
