The United Way wants to make sure everyone has a happy holiday.
The annual Giving Tree event took place this week.
It was the 10th year for the event.
In 2010, the Giving Tree helped 80 families.
And last year the United Way program made the season bright for 120 Chattanooga-area families.
It's a last-minute gift program after all of the other holiday programs shut down.
Sheila Moore is the Executive Director of the United Way Center for Non-Profits.  She explained, "We've realized that there are families out there who fall through the cracks who didn't make the deadlines for other giving programs or perhaps had sudden loss of a job or something that put them in a situation where they find themselves they really don't have resources to provide Christmas for their children."
And United Way volunteers wrapped all of the Giving Tree gifts...
     Free of charge.
