(WDEF) Chattanooga Firefighters battled a blaze at a vacant house on Vance Road Wednesday afternoon.
Officials say the flames could be seen for miles.
The entire house was engulfed in flames when the first firefighters arrived on the scene.
The house is in a fairly isolated location in some woods off of Vance Road and appears to have been unoccupied for an extended period of time.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
