Congressman Chuck Fleischmann made the following statement after learning that he had been named to the House Committee on Appropriations.
“I am pleased to be joining the Appropriations Committee, which does critical work ensuring that every tax dollar coming from hardworking Americans is spent wisely. With our national debt growing larger and larger, it is now more important than ever that we exercise strong fiscal discipline and work to cut unnecessary spending,” Fleischmann said.
“In the last two years, Chairman Rogers has done incredible work at reducing spending, and I look forward to continuing the task of getting our nation’s discretionary spending back on track, and rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse of taxpayer dollars.”
