Hixson residents say they're glad to finally see a plan.
Resident Chad Winters said, "There's a few of us from our subdivision that are here to find out exactly what's going on first hand."
Developers covered everything from the layout of the proposed Chattanooga Village, to environmental concerns, to what it would all look like.
Project Deveoper Duane Horton said, "We wanted the opportunity to share more about the plan and the advances we've made addressing community feedback."
Jerry Jones says his back yard backs up to the 190 acre development, and feels they should have been able to see the plans months ago while they were still in the planning phase.
"The problem is we're way at the end of the game instead of the beginning of the game,' said Jones.
The tension from Monday night's Planning Commission meeting rolled over, especially Mayor Littlefield's vote to move the project forward.
"One of the anxiety things with all of us is the Railroad job the Mayor did yesterday.  Everybody will just have to decide why he did that," added Jones.
Developers say their plan includes some changes in response to community concerns, they even say the Don't Chop The Hilltop phrase is now irrelevant.
"There was gonna be a lot of mass grading on some plans.  With advancements we've been able to make, we're leaving the top of the hill in place and we can still accomplish everything we want on the site," said Horton.
Residents had several questions even running the meeting late.
Developers say they'll all be taken into consideration for further planning.
They developers also told residents they will hold another community meeting before the plan is presented to the city council on January 8th.
Chattanooga City Council Chair Pam Ladd has called a special meeting for Monday, December 17.
If it passes the city council..they hope to break ground by 2014.

Why clear 190 acres of beautiful land just to build more businesses when there are already way too many closed businesses, empty parking lots and cleared empty land already!
