(WDEF) The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Chief Bobby H. Dodd of the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals who robbed the First Tennessee Bank in Chattanooga yesterday.
On 10/23/2013, at approximately 10:13 a.m., law enforcement agencies received a report of shots fired at the First Tennessee Bank, 7820 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Reports indicate that a male subject entered the bank and discharged a firearm, striking one bank employee. After obtaining an undetermined amount of money from the bank, the subject fled the bank in a white, four-door passenger car, which was driven by a white, female, eastbound on East Brainerd Road.
The bank employee was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The male subject wore a black mask and black gloves, a white long sleeved shirt, dark pants and dark shoes. He was approximately 5’07”-5’09 tall, with a stocky build. He was armed with a dark colored semi-automatic handgun.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Knoxville FBI at 865-544-0751, or CPD at (423) 698-2525. A reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of this individual.
