THE SALVATION ARMY OF THE GREATER CHATTANOOGA AREA IS ON STAND-BY, READY TO SERVE, DUE TO THE POTENTIAL OF LOCAL FLOODING

Chattanooga, TN – The Salvation Army remains in contact with local county emergency managers to stay updated on rising creeks and potential flooding. The Salvation Army has alerted its volunteers and its emergency mobile kitchen crew to be ready to serve local emergency managers, disaster teams, and residents as needed.

“Our promise to the community is to ‘Do the Most Good’ with time, money and resources entrusted to us by our neighbors. Serving food, beverages, and offering spiritual counsel at times of disasters is just one of the ways we carry out this promise,” states Major Algerome Newsome, Salvation Army Area Commander.

To support The Salvation Army’s disaster efforts, donations can be made by visiting www.csarmy.org, by calling 1-800-Sal-Army or by mailing The Salvation Army, 822 McCallie Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37403.
