Coffee County, TN (WDEF) If you're driving on I-24 West right now you might be seeing some traffic.

That's because of people heading to the Bonnaroo Festival in Coffee County.

The gates are opening at 8 p.m. central time Wednesday night.

TDOT officials say traffic has been running smoothly, but heavy in the area.

They have HELP trucks around to help the THP.

Festival goers should use the shoulder and sometimes the right lane; thorough traffic should travel in the left lane.

Jennifer Flynn with TDOT says, "Our traffic control plan, it works really well. So, people just need to be aware. Also, the speed limit has been reduced through the festival area to 55 miles per hour for the duration of the festival, and then it will be raised back up afterwards."
