RHEA COUNTY, TN (WDEF) --- It's over for Richard Orlowske.
You may remember the Rhea county man who was found with 40 pets at his small home back in February.
Orlowske, who is a former volunteer at the Rhea county animal shelter, appeared before a Sessions court judge today where he pleaded "no contest" to cruelty to animals.
He was fined 25-dollars and court costs, and ordered not to have any animals at his home.
Authorities say 38 of the animals, mostly dogs, 38 were saved and adopted, or sent to the county animal shelter.
Officers say Orlowske apparently was unable to feed or care for the animals as he tried to find homes for them.
