A tragedy in Whitfield County last September will be brought to court this Friday.

The District Attorney decided not to seek the death penalty in the double homicide case. The victim's sister, Seara Adair hopes a petition will change the ruling.

14 old Krista Babb and 61 year old Julius Wayne Smith were shot to death September 17, 2011. 32 year old Daniel Densmore set the home on fire to cover up the bodies.

The plea deal and life without parole is not enough for Seara Adair. She has put together a petition for Densmore to be tried for the death penalty. Adair said, "I informed the DA before I left that day if you are not going to fight for this I will. They know what I'm doing. I put it in my victim impact statement that they have given to the Judge, so they know that I'm doing it."

The petition already has 415 signatures. Seara's goal is to reach 2000 before she presents herself infront of the judge.
