North Georgia Investigation Leads to 4 Arrests and Seizure of One Pound Of Meth

According to Dalton Police:

A joint operation conducted by drug detectives and officers from the Dalton Police Department, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Department of Homeland Security, and Tunnel Hill Police Department resulted in four arrests and the confiscation of more than a pound of methamphetamine.

Ivan E. Gallegos-Vega, 22, of 5760 Mableton Parkway in Mableton, Rigoberto Carreno, 20, of 231 Fite Street in Cartersville, Guadalupe Villalobos, 27, of 682 Milford Drive in Marietta, and Javier Sanchez, 24, of 6780 Mableton Parkway in Mableton were all arrested in the October 5th “buy bust” operation. All four are charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, and possession of methamphetamine.

After a long-term joint investigation of drug trafficking between the Atlanta area and the Dalton metro area, an undercover operation was set up by an agent of the GBI and drug detectives with the Dalton Police Department. On October 5th, the agents met with the four suspects in Dalton leading to the arrests. All four suspects were taken into custody and charged. Agents seized 462.9 grams of methamphetamine (1.02 pounds).
