One suspect is taken to the hospital Wednesday night in Whitfield County after an officer involved shooting.
It happened on Mitchell Bridge Road.
Sheriff's officials say they got a call from two women who said a man was at their house threatening them and tearing up the residence.
Several officers responded.
They blocked in the suspect's truck, but he still tried to escape... Using the truck to threaten the officers.
That's when one officer shot the suspect... Hitting him in the arm and ribs.
The suspect was then taken to the hospital.
His condition is not known at this time.
One officer also had minor injuries.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation will be investigating... Which is standard procedure for officer involved shootings.
The officer will also be on paid administrative leave during the investigation.
