Whitfield County Residents will see a property tax increase starting next month.
The School Board approved the hike this morning.
Members approved a 27 % increase...not the 34 % hike that was originally proposed.
That's around $100 more than last year for property valuing $75,000.
That's the average in Whitfield.
This increase starts on October 20th.
The money will go into the general budget for the daily operation of the schools.
