(WDEF) An inmate who walked away from a work detail in Bledsoe County Sunday night is now back in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Corrections.
32-year-old Jeffery Lynn Carter was caught at about 5:30pm central time Wednesday night at a house in Davidson County.  He absconded from a minimum-custody work detail on the prison farm.
Department of Corrections agents, the U.S. Marshal's Middle Tennessee Fugitive Task Force, Nashville Police, the Bledsoe County Sheriff's Office, TBI and THP worked together to recapture Carter.
Carter had five years left on a 21-year-long prison sentence for aggravated robbery and attempted aggravated robbery charges in Davidson County.
Carter was taken to the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution and could face an additional five years in prison.
Details of his escape remain under investigation.  Possible accomplices could be charged.
