We now know the cause of death for the Chattanooga woman found dead in her home in East Brainerd this past weekend.
The Hamilton County medical examiner says 75-year-old Joanne (de-shay) Desha died of asphyxiation due to strangulation.
No further information can be released because there's an on-going investigation.
Police found Desha Saturday night in her home on Marco Circle.
They're continuing to follow leads.
