Crystal Greer says, "My only son, my child is gone for nothing."

This grieving mother falls before her 23-year-old son's make-shift memorial, using the ground to hold her up.

Greer adds, "I didn't know when I pulled off that I wouldn't be able to see him anymore."

Greer says she saw her son, Terry Parker Junior, just 10 minutes before he was shot in the head and chest on Grove Street.

Greer adds, "He didn't want to die. He kept moving, and so they said he refused to die, so they walked up and shot him in his head."

The men Greer is referring to are Antonio Evans and Christopher Penn.

She says they approached her son when he walking out of a nearby grocery store, and asked for a lighter, but police believe they shot Parker instead.

Greer says she feels better knowing the two are arrested, but it doesn't take away from the fact that before this incident they were like family.

Greer adds, "They have called me Mama before, so how are you going to call me mama, and kill my child."

A witness told police Penn and Evans were affiliated with a gang called the bloods , and Parker was affiliated with a rival gang called the crips.

However, family members say Parker was absolutely not affiliated with any gang.

Greer adds, "If anything they probably killed my son because he did not want to be in the gang."

Now, we did find out one of the suspects, Christopher Penn, was shot a little more than a week ago on Rossville Boulevard, but police are not sure if this recent incident is any way related.

Either way family members know this will not be an open and shut case surrounding this young father of four.

Both Evans and Penn are charged with first degree murder, among other charges.
