DeKalb County Corrections Officer Accused of Stealing From Inmate

A DeKalb County corrections officer finds himself in trouble with the law.

John Weston Culpepper, 28, of Dawson, Alabama is accused of taking $325 from an inmate.

The inmate says the money was stolen while being booked into the Dekalb County Detention Center.

Culpepper was charged Wednesday with theft of property 3rd degree and fired from his job as a corrections officer.
