WHITFIELD COUNTY, Georgia(WDEF) - There's new information about what happened inside a Whitfield County convenience store where a clerk was found murdered.

According to a published report by WDEF partner Dalton Daily Citizen, 37-year old Dahyabhai Chaudhari was found dead on the floor with duct tape over his mouth and eyes. That statement came from a customer who found Chaudhari's body.

News of those details were hard to deal with for regular customers like Marguerite Davis who often visits that Kanku's store near Dalton.

"It nearly killed me. I busted into tears. It's heart breaking. Living in a community like this, I've lived here for 46 years years and I've never seen anything like this. We come in here everyday," Davis said.

Skyy Mims, 21 of Detroit was charged with murdering Chaudhari and is currently being held without bond. Mims was supposed to appear in Superior Court Friday morning for a bond hearing but her attorney canceled the hearing Thursday afternoon.

As for Chaudhari, The store where he was murdered has erected a small memorial where customers can drop off flowers and cash donations to his family.

According to close friends, Chaudhari's family is trying to decide if he will be laid to rest in the U.S. or back home in India.
