RED BANK, Tennessee(WDEF) - Three men whom police believe is behind a string of store burglaries are now behind bars.

Jimmy Neal, 28, Robert Neal, 22, and Timothy Neal, 48, are all facing burglary charges after they were caught breaking into a store on the corner of Gadd Road and Dayton Blvd.

According to the arrest affidavit, a Red Bank patrol officer spotted Robert and Jimmy Neal breaking into the store after they were dropped off by Timothy Neal who drove away from the scene to be the alleged lookout.

Red Bank Police Sgt. Steve Hope said the three men were running a very organized burglary operation.

"One of them would be dropped off by somebody who would go to a further distance and be a lookout while one or two would break into the store and get nothing but cigarettes and get out of there in three minutes or less," Hope said.

Investigators believe the men have been hitting other stores and only taking cartons of cigarettes.

"They may be involved in around 12 if not more burglaries that are alike in North Georgia, Chattanooga, Hamilton County and possibly as far as Dunlap," Hope said.

All three men have prior criminal convictions.
