The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has joined with the Catoosa county sheriff's office in investigating what may be a child porn ring.
The case against the north Georgia residents came together last night and Catoosa county has been joined by the G-B-I, which usually means it's not wrapped up just yet.
The charges do involve porn photos, computers and at least one local child.
MAJOR GARY SISK, CATOOSA CO. SHERIFF'S DEPT. "We received information of some possible child pornography that was going on from a couple of residents on Trace Lane, so last night officer served warrants on two residents residents on Trace lane and made two arrests."
The residents of Village Green trailer park just south of the Tennessee state line says things have changed in recent years, and they never know who living nearby. Some of them knew the two men who were taken to jail.
MAJOR GARY SISK "One individual, Mr. Martinez, was charged with computer pornography, and child exploitation act of 1999, and two counts of forgery in the second degree.
A Calvin Steel was arrested and charged with the child exploitation, aggravated child exploitation and computer pornography and the exploitation ct of 1999."
Major Sisk says that since the investigation is still open, he doesn't want to divulge much information.
MAJOR SISK "We just want to make sure that the victim hasn't been victimized more than what we've already found here. We are continuing to look to see if there is anybody else involved."
Neighbors at Village Green say they saw 5 people taken into custody from the trailer at 266 Trace Lane, but officers say only the two have been charged to date.
TIMOTHY PATTY, NEIGHBOR "Well, I was at church when it actually went on..but when I come home, everybody was standing out in the road."
Many child porn cases turn out to be an effort to make money. Evidence in this one shows something different.
MAJOR GARY SISK " I don't think It's always financial..yes, there is some financial gain that some people do get through child pornography, but...in this case here, no."
According to East Ridge police, 24 year old Calvin Steele the third, has at least one prior arrest.
In 2008 he was charged with stabbing a man and cutting a woman in a fight over a child's bike.
