On June 10, 2013, at 6:08am Whitfield County 911 Center received a call of a disturbance at the McDonald's located at 2531 East Walnut Avenue. Before Officers arrived they were informed all parties involved in the disturbance had left the area. At 6:14am, a call was received reporting a disturbance at 504 Gay Street, which is only a couple of miles from the McDonald's. Officers arrived at 6:20am and discovered an individual had been run over by a vehicle in the front yard of the residence. The victim was found to be deceased. The driver of the truck had fled from the scene on foot. The 1995 GMC Pick-up truck belonged to Frank Scott Bozzie. Bozzie was located by a deputy walking down Tibbs Bridge Road around 7:30am, he was taken into custody without incident.
The victim is Horace Richard Morgan, DOB 10/28/1958, of 504 Gay Street. The investigation revealed an adult male and female stayed overnight at the Morgan residence last night. The two adults went to McDonald's while Mr. Morgan remained at the residence to "baby sit" the female's two small children. While in the McDonald's parking lot the female's ex-boyfriend (Frank Bozzie) drove up and a disturbance ensued. All parties left the scene and the two adults returned to the Morgan residence. Frank Bozzie then drove up in his truck. Mr. Morgan went out and ordered Bozzie off the property, at which time investigators believe Bozzie intentionally ran over Mr. Morgan.
Frank Scott Bozzie, DOB 3/18/1966, of W. Crawford Street, Dalton, is currently being held at the Whitfield County Jail without bond on a Murder charge.

Sheriff Scott Chitwood
