(WDEF) Commissioners in Bradley County put off the vote on a property tax increase to raise $14-million dollars for Lake Forest Middle School.
This is the second time commissioners passed the vote.
Last month, Commissioner Jeff Morelock asked for more time to find an alternative funding program for the school renovations and repairs.
But as of Monday, no solution was in sight.
Chairman Louie Alford said Monday, "I'd like to see the new school built and we're in the process of working out all the funding situations that we possible can and we're working very closely with the county school board on this and I think eventually we're going to come up with a scenario that will be beneficial for both us and the county school board."
The proposed property tax increase would have called for $0.08 per $100 of assessed value.
