A local dancer who made it to the big time returns to her Alma Mater in the Scenic City.
Alia Crutcher spent the morning at Center for Creative Arts teaching students some of her moves.
She graduated from CCA in 2001 and went on to dance with the Ailey II Dance Ensemble She also appeared in Disney's Lion King and Aida.
Now she's sharing her talents with local young dancers who aspire to be in her shoes.
Alia has choreographed an original work for a project at CCA.
She says, "I want to bring out a more professional quality in their movement, so I want them to extend their lines even more and have a performance quality that you don't always have in rehearsal."
Alia is just one of a number of CCA grads who've earned national attention for their work.
Students major in one of the five disciplines: Communications, Dance, Music, Theatre, or Visual Arts.
