(WDEF) Workers get busy putting the finishing touches on Hamilton County's newest school-- Red Bank Middle.
Workers spent their Monday adding door handles, doing last minutes paint touch-ups on the walls, up on ladders fixing lights and fans and getting the lunch room in order for the first day on Thursday.
Enrollment across Hamilton County totals 43,000 students so far this year.  625 are now registered for the new Red Bank Middle School.
Principal John Pierce said, "Parents come in, we just turned them loose in the building and let them come in and look around and the kids were excited about here.  Parents were excited about it.  We got them through the registration process.  I thought it went pretty smoothly."
Also ready for the new school year are the brick boy and girl from the old Red Bank Middle.
They're now at the high school as a memorial for alumni.
