After a five month search, UTC finally has a new chancellor.
The University Board of Trustees finalized the appointment of Dr. Steven Angle this afternoon.
Dr. Angle comes from Wright State University where he served as the senior Vice President. He takes over for Dr. Roger Brown who retired in September of last year. Dr. Angle faces the task of making a number of new hires himself.
"I think student success is certainly one, filling the leadership team vacancies with provost, athletic director, and the development alumni vice chancellor. Getting out and getting to know the community and getting to know the campus."
UTC was the only public college in Tennessee to increase enrollment last year.
