As usual, most of these local officials are useless twits. It isn't bad enough truckers have to pay outrageous fuel and maintenance cost. Now these twits want truckers go longer routes and use up more fuel. Guess who pays? Consumers! If prices on consumer products isn't bad enough; just wait. Prices will soar even higher. Are you willing to pay more? Think about it!!!!

I may not be from Jonesborough, but I know right from wrong, and letting these people build a funeral home on a Civil War site is wrong from the very start. I read the name of the company though, and came to a possible reason is that they are a foreign company and have no respect for our history.

I'm curious, where were these people working, or were they living off of my tax dollars? If they were employed somewhere, did the HR offices at those places run the checks they were supposed to, in order to ensure that the people were allowed to work in this country, much less legal to be in the country? If not, then those people should be penalized as well. I realize that everybody is all out for these illegals, but, don't forget the people who are enabling this kind of thing to continue.
