Changes are underway in the way money is handled at the Tivoli and Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium.
This after an audit found misappropriation of funds.
It led to the resignation of general manager Sandy Coulter after 32 years with the City.
A check of the books for the two facilities turned up cash that was not accounted for.
When confronted Coulter resigned.
The venues fall under the Department of Education, Arts and Culture.
Administrator Missy Crutchfield tells us policies and regulations were violated.
And immediate changes have been made to how checks written to cash are handled.
Missy Crutchfield, Education, Arts and Culture, "I'm looking at this as an opportunity everywhere and absolutely with our civic facilities to create measures, higher accountability above and beyond that makes sure that this never happens again."
The City auditor tells us the investigation started several months ago and ended November 12th.
There's no official report since Coulter resigned.
