The Chattanooga City Council addressed a $1.42 increase on city sewer bills.
Public Works Director Steve Leach told council members a change in billing at Tennessee American Water will cost the city $600,000.
TennAm officials say their computer software cannot handle billing for sewer services... so Chattanooga, Hamilton County and Rossville entered into an agreement with Enco Utility Services.
Look for the increase at the beginning of next year.
