A possible toll bridge near the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant in Soddy Daisy is still decades away ...if it ends up moving forward.
The Hamilton County Bridge Committee got an update detailing the latest planning study.
It estimates the three top alternatives for the roadway and bridge would cost between 166 and 252 million dollars.
A trip would cost 3 dollars per car and four 50 per truck.
Some Soddy Daisy leaders aren't happy with any of alternatives on the table right now.
Jim Adams, Soddy Daisy, "We want the bridge very badly. We really want the bridge and we support the new bridge, but we respectfully disagree with the location of this bridge and there are several reasons why."
T-DOT's commissioner say the state won't build roads people don't want.
If it moves forward, the project would be funded by the state possibly through revenue bonds or a public private partnership.
